Promethazine Tips from Pharmacists
If you have gastrointestinal side effects from promethazine, taking it with food or milk may help lessen them.
If you are taking promethazine syrup, use a dose-measuring cup to ensure accurate dosing. Do not use a household spoon.
Store promethazine suppositories in the refrigerator. The oral syrup and tablets can be stored at room temperature.
You may feel dizzy or drowsy after taking promethazine. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything that requires your full attention until you know how this medicine affects you.
