How To Use Raloxifene (Evista)

Raloxifene comes in the form of a tablet to take by mouth once per day. You can take this medicine with or without food. Try to take the medicine at the same time every day.

Read the prescription label carefully and follow your doctor’s dosing instructions. Do not change the dose or dosing frequency without consulting your healthcare provider.

Continue taking raloxifene even if you feel well. Do not stop treatment with this medicine without consulting your healthcare provider.

Missed dose: If you miss a dose of raloxifene, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next scheduled dose according to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take double or extra doses to make up for a missed one.

Storage: Store raloxifene at room temperature (between 15-30° C or 59-86° F) away from moisture, heat, and direct light in its original container, tightly closed. Do not store medications in the bathroom where they can be exposed to moisture and heat. Keep all medications safely out of reach of children and pets.

Unused medicine: Unused raloxifene should be disposed of in a way that children, other people, and pets cannot get to them. Do not throw raloxifene in the trash or flush it down the toilet.
