Take silodosin with food. Taking this medicine on an empty stomach may cause more severe side effects.
If you have trouble swallowing silodosin capsules, you can open the capsule and sprinkle the contents on some applesauce.
Silodosin can cause dizziness due to a sudden drop in blood pressure, especially when you get out of bed or go from a sitting or lying position to standing. Get up slowly and hold onto something for support to lower the risk of falls.
Avoid drinking alcohol while on silodosin. Alcohol can make side effects like dizziness worse.
Dizziness is a common side effect of silodosin. Be cautious while driving or doing other hazardous activities until you know how the drug affects you.
