Silver Sulfadiazine Side Effects

Possible side effects of silver sulfadiazine are listed below. Call your doctor for medical advice if they are severe or persistent after a few days.

  • Pain
  • Itching
  • Burning
  • Skin discoloration

Some of the adverse effects of silver sulfadiazine are more serious. Call your doctor right away or seek emergency medical attention if you develop:

  • Weakness or tiredness
  • Fever 
  • Sore throat 
  • Painful joints
  • Blood in urine
  • Yellowing of the skin or eyes
  • Unusual or allergic reaction (skin rash)

Call 911 if a person has collapsed, stopped breathing, is unresponsive, or has had a seizure.
