What may interact with SUTAB?

Do not take this medicine with any of the following medications:

-other laxatives
This medicine may also interact with the following medications:

-certain antibiotics like ciprofloxacin, doxycycline, levofloxacin, moxifloxacin, tetracycline
-certain medicines for blood pressure, heart disease, irregular heartbeat
-certain medicines for depression, anxiety, or psychotic disorders
-chlorpromazine
-digoxin
-diuretics
-iron
-medicines for seizures
-NSAIDs, medicines for pain and inflammation, like ibuprofen or naproxen
-penicillamine

What should I tell my health care provider before I take SUTAB?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

-dehydration
-diet low in salt
-difficulty swallowing
-gout
-heart disease
-high or low levels of calcium, magnesium, potassium, or sodium in the blood
-irregular heartbeat
-kidney disease
-seizures
-stomach or intestine problems
-withdrawing from drinking alcohol or from taking benzodiazepines
-an unusual or allergic reaction to sodium sulfate; magnesium sulfate; potassium chloride, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
-pregnant or trying to get pregnant
-breast-feeding

What should I watch for while using SUTAB?

You will need to follow a special diet before your procedure. Talk to your health care provider.
Talk to your health care provider if you are not able to complete the regimen as prescribed.
Do not use with any other laxatives. Drink fluids as directed to prevent dehydration. See your healthcare professional right away if you do not have a bowel movement after using this medicine.

Where should I keep my medicine?

Keep out of the reach of children.
Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
