• You can take tadalafil without regard to meals. However, if you are on once daily dosing, take it at about the same time every day.

• Do not split tadalafil tablets. Take the entire dose at the same time.

• Go to the emergency room if you develop a painful or prolonged erection after taking tadalafil. This can cause permanent damage to penile tissues if left untreated.

• Use condoms to protect against sexually transmitted infections such as HIV. Tadalafil does not provide STI protection. 

• Avoid drinking alcohol while on tadalafil. Alcohol can cause erection problems and worsen tadalafil side effects.
