Terazosin Tips from Pharmacists
You can take terazosin with or without food. If it causes stomach upset, taking it with food might help.
Terazosin can cause low blood pressure. Get up slowly from lying or sitting position to standing. Rest your feet on the floor for a few minutes before getting out of bed. Tell your doctor if you feel lightheaded or dizzy or faint while on terazosin.
Terazosin can cause blurred vision and dizziness. Do not drive or do other potentially hazardous activities until you know how it affects you.
Call your doctor if you miss taking terazosin for more than 2 days. You may need to restart the medicine at a lower dose again.
It can take 4-6 weeks for terazosin to have its full effect. Continue taking the medicine even if your BPH symptoms and/or blood pressure are controlled.
