Terazosin Side Effects
Possible adverse effects of terazosin are listed below. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects if they are severe or continue after a few days.
- Fatigue
- Weakness
- Back pain
- Nasal congestion or runny nose
- Nausea
- Weight gain
- Sexual dysfunction
- Blurred vision
- Swelling of the hands or feet
- Numbness, tinging, burning, or pain in the hands or feet
Rarely, terazosin can cause more serious side effects. Call your doctor right away or seek emergency medical attention if you develop the following symptoms:
- Skin rash, hives, itching
- Shortness of breath or trouble breathing
- Fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat
- Prolonged or painful erection

Terazosin Overdose: In case of an overdose, call your doctor immediately. You can also call your local poison control center or the national poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. Call 911 if someone has lost consciousness, collapsed, stopped breathing, or had a seizure. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of terazosin may include lightheadedness or dizziness, blurry vision, and fainting.
