How should I use Tizanidine?

Take this medicine by mouth with water. Take it as directed on the prescription label. You can take it with or without food. You should always take it the same way. Keep taking this medicine unless your health care provider tells you to stop. Stopping it too quickly can cause serious side effects.
Talk to your health care provider about the use of this medicine in children. Special care may be needed.
Patients over 65 years of age may have a stronger reaction and need a smaller dose.

Overdosage: If you think you have taken too much of Tizanidine contact a poison control center or emergency room at once. NOTE: Tizanidine is only for you. Do not share Tizanidine with others.

What if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses.
