Tobramycin Tips from Pharmacists
Continue using tobramycin ophthalmic for as long as your doctor has advised, even if your symptoms have disappeared. Stopping treatment too soon can cause your infection to come back and be harder to treat.
To prevent contamination of the dropper tip and ointment tube, wash your hands before use and do not touch the tip to any surface, including your hands or eyes.
After applying tobramycin ophthalmic, wait at least 5 minutes before using any other eye medications.
Avoid wearing contact lenses during tobramycin treatment. Throw away your old contacts and wear a fresh pair after your infection clears.
