Tolterodine (Detrol LA) Side Effects
Possible side effects of tolterodine are listed below. Call your doctor for medical advice if they are severe or persist after a few days.
- Dry mouth
- Dry eyes
- Dry skin
- Headache
- Heartburn
- Constipation
- Diarrhea
- Stomach pain
- Joint pain
- Excessive tiredness
- Problems with emptying the bladder
- Pain with urination
- Weight gain
- Anxiety
Some of the side effects of tolterodine are more serious. Call your doctor right away or seek emergency medical help if you develop the following effects:
- Severe constipation
- Signs of a serious allergic reaction (skin rash, hives, itching)
- Swelling of the face, eyes, lips, tongue, or throat
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing

Tolterodine (Detrol LA) Overdose: In case of an overdose of tolterodine, call your doctor immediately. You can also call your local poison control center, provincial poison control center, or the national poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. Call 911 if a person has collapsed, stopped breathing, had a seizure, or is not responding.
