Trintellix Side Effects
Commonly observed adverse reactions of Trintellix include:
- Gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gas, constipation
- Dizziness
- Dry mouth
- Unusual dreams
- Sexual dysfunction in male patients (decreased sex drive, erectile dysfunction, ejaculation problems) and female patients (reduced libido, inability to have an orgasm, or delayed orgasm)
Tell your doctor if these side effects of Trintellix are severe or if you have worsening symptoms.
In a small number of people, Trintellix can cause more serious adverse reactions, such as:
- Rash, hives, itching, and other signs of allergic reactions
- Swelling of the face, throat, tongue, or lips
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing
- Hoarseness
- Unusual bruising or bleeding
- Fever, confusion, fast heart rate, muscle stiffness and twitching, agitation, hallucinations, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
- Memory problems, difficulty concentrating, confusion
- Headache
- Nosebleed
- Weakness, unsteadiness
- Fainting
- Seizures
- Loss of consciousness
The above list may not include all the potential adverse effects of Trintellix. Call your doctor for the appropriate medical intervention if you experience any severe or unusual symptoms. You can also report unusual side effects to the Food and Drug Administration at 1-800-FDA-1088.
Trintellix Overdose: In case of a known or suspected overdose, call your doctor, the local poison control center, or the provincial poison control center immediately. If the person can’t be awakened, has had a seizure, or has trouble breathing, call 911.
Possible symptoms of a Trintellix overdose include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, dizziness, drowsiness, itching, flushing, fever, confusion, agitations, hallucinations, fast heartbeat, muscle stiffness or twitching, shivering, and seizures.
