Verapamil (Calan SR) Side Effects

Some of the adverse effects of verapamil are more serious. Call your doctor right away or seek emergency medical attention if you develop:

• Swelling of the limbs
• Slowed heartbeat
• Difficulty breathing or swallowing
• Blurred vision
• Fainting
• Skin rash
• Unusual tiredness or low energy
• Unusual bleeding or bruising
• Nausea
• Loss of appetite
• Right upper abdominal pain
• Yellowing of the skin or eyes
• Fever or flu-like symptoms

Verapamil (Calan SR) Overdose: In case of an overdose of verapamil, call your doctor immediately. Overdose symptoms may include dizziness, blurred vision, confusion, changes in heartbeat (fast, slow, or irregular), convulsions, and difficulty breathing or swallowing.
