What may interact with ZIOPTAN?

Interactions are not expected. Do not use any other eye products without telling your doctor or health care professional.

What should I tell my health care provider before I take ZIOPTAN?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

-eye disease, vision problems
-eye injury, infection, or swelling
-an unusual or allergic reaction to tafluprost, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
-pregnant or trying to get pregnant
-breast-feeding

What should I watch for while using ZIOPTAN?

This medicine may cause dry eyes and blurred vision. If you wear contact lenses you may feel some discomfort. Lubricating drops may help. See your eye doctor if the problem does not go away or is severe.

If you wear contact lenses, ask your doctor or health care professional when you can use your lenses again.

This medicine may cause your eye, eyelashes, and eyelids to change color. Tell your doctor or health care professional if this happens. If only one eye is being treated with this medicine, a difference may develop between the treated and untreated eye in eyelash length, darkness or thickness, and/or color changes of the eyelid skin or iris. These changes may be permanent.

Where should I keep my medicine?

Keep out of the reach of children.

Store the unopened foil pouch in a refrigerator between 2 and 8 degrees C (36 and 46 degrees F). After the foil pouch is opened, store it at room temperature between 20 and 25 degrees C (68 and 77 degrees F) for up to 30 days. Keep this medicine away from moisture. Throw away all unused medicine in the opened foil pouch after 30 days.
