Amlodipine-Benazepril (Lotrel) Side Effects
Possible side effects of amlodipine and benazepril are listed below. Call your doctor for medical advice if these side effects are severe or do not go away in a few days.
- Cough
- Dizziness or light headed feeling
- Headache
- Swelling in the hands, lower legs, ankles, and feet
Some of the adverse effects of amlodipine and benazepril can be more serious. Call your doctor right away or seek emergency medical help if you experience:
- Severe swelling of the face, eyes, lips, tongue, or throat
- Difficulty breathing
- More frequent or worsened chest pain
- Hoarseness
- Severe skin rash (allergic reactions)
- Yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes
- Severe stomach pain
- Flu like symptoms (fever, chills, sore throat, body aches, unusual tiredness)

Amlodipine-benazepril Overdose: In case of an overdose of amlodipine-benazepril, call your doctor immediately. You can also call your local poison control center or the national poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. Call 911 if a person has collapsed, cannot be awakened, has trouble breathing, or has had a seizure.
