Clindamycin and Benzoyl Peroxide (Benzaclin) Tips from Pharmacists
Wash your face with mild soap and warm water and pat dry before applying a thin layer of clindamycin benzoyl peroxide gel with clean hands to the affected area twice a day.
Check with your doctor before using other topical products during treatment of acne vulgaris with this medicine.
You should see a decrease in acne lesion counts within 12 weeks of treatment. Tell your doctor if your acne has not improved after this time.
Call your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical care if you develop severe stomach cramps or bloody diarrhea while using this acne medicine.
Allow the medicine to dry completely before wearing clothing or lying down on bed linen, as it can bleach colored fabric.
Read the storage instructions on your clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide product. Some formulations need to be stored in the refrigerator.
