Eplerenone (Inspra) Drug Class

Eplerenone (e-pler-en-ohn) belongs to a group of medications called mineralocorticoid receptor blockers or aldosterone antagonists.

Eplerenone (Inspra) Age Range

Eplerenone is approved for use in adults. Studies did not find eplerenone to be effective in treating hypertension in children between 4 and 17 years of age. It has not been studied for efficacy and safety in children younger than 4 years of age.
