Hydrocortisone-Pramoxine (Analpram Hc) Uses

Hydrocortisone pramoxine is a topical preparation that is used to treat inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of steroid-responsive dermatoses (inflammation and itching caused by skin conditions that respond to medications called corticosteroids). For example, eczema and psoriasis. Analpram HC is also used to treat pain, discomfort, itching, and swelling caused by hemorrhoids, anal fissures, and other minor skin irritations in the anal area.

Hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory activity. It helps to reduce redness, itching, and swelling. Pramoxine is a local anesthetic that blocks pain signals in the nerve endings.

Hydrocortisone-Pramoxine (Analpram Hc) Doses

Analpram HC cream contains hydrocortisone acetate 2.5% and pramoxine hydrochloride 1% for topical application to the skin in the affected area. You should apply a thin layer of the medicine 3-4 times a day. Other formulations include gels, ointments, lotions, and foams.
