Therapeutic Uses:

  • As an adjunct to maximally tolerated statin therapy to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke, coronary revascularization, and unstable angina needing hospitalization in adults with elevated triglyceride levels of 150 mg/dL or higher and established cardiovascular disease or diabetes mellitus and at least two additional risk factors for cardiovascular disease
  • Severe hypertriglyceridemia (elevated triglyceride levels of 500 mg/dL or higher)
