What is Nexium (esomeprazole)?
Nexium (nek see uhm) belongs to a family of medications called proton pump inhibitors. These drugs block the production of stomach acid. Nexium is an oral prescription and over-the-counter medication. It is used to treat conditions in which there is an excessive amount of stomach acid.

Who can take Nexium (esomeprazole)?
