Seroquel (quetiapine) tips from pharmacists

  • Check your blood sugar regularly as directed by your doctor, as quetiapine can increase your blood sugar.

  • Immediate-release quetiapine can be taken with or without food. However, Seroquel XR should be taken on an empty stomach or with a light meal (less than 300 calories) in the evening.

  • It is important to keep all of your lab and doctor appointments to ensure that Seroquel (quetiapine) is safe and effective for you.
